I just closed a short-term long position for $OP that I entered near $0.09. I took a small profit and left. Don’t say it’s small—+2.63% 24h growth, in this current low-volume grind-bottom market, is already a “tallest among dwarfs” kind of move. 😅

First, here’s why I dared to make the move at around $0.09. Yesterday afternoon, OP’s low was smashed down to $0.09. I watched the order book for half an hour and noticed a detail: the sell pressure was all scattered orders—hundreds of U here, hundreds of U there, being thrown out—yet on the buy side, once in a while you’d see one or two thousand U buy orders pop up, getting fully eaten. In plain language, the order-book story is this: retail traders are cutting losses, while someone else is picking up the coins. Coupled with the 24h trading volume of nearly 40 million OP—if that amount can sit at the $0.10 area, it shows liquidity isn’t actually bad; it’s just that nobody wants to pull the price up actively.

Now, let’s talk about the “Superchain” narrative. A lot of people think OP Stack is just providing technology for other chains to use—things like Base, Unichain, and so on. But the $OP token itself doesn’t capture any value. That logic is half right. The other half is: the more Superchain grows, the more cross-chain message passing and sequencer revenue depends on OP’s underlying architecture. In the short term, it’s a cost; in the long run, it’s a moat. The funding rate +0.0057% also suggests bullish sentiment is slowly recovering—though the magnitude is small, at least it’s not in the “everyone is yelling because it’s negative funding” scenario. 📊

Back to the chart. The last four 1-hour candles: +0.8%, -0.1%, +0.8%, +0.0%. See it? It can’t really fall anymore. Every time it gets pushed down, it gets pulled back—maybe not with huge force, but the shorts are clearly running out of steam. In short-term trading, this pattern is called “ants climbing a tree.” It doesn’t necessarily mean an immediate big breakout upward, but the risk-reward of shorting is extremely unfavorable. That’s exactly the signal I used to enter; I set the stop loss a little below $0.09, and the risk-reward calculation made sense.

Of course, don’t get carried away. The $OP Superchain vision is the long-game logic—if it’s time to run in the short term, then you still run. I’m currently flat (no position). Not because I’m bearish, but because I’m waiting for it to build volume and break through the $0.10 whole-number level first. Breakouts without volume are just pretending. 💡
