【Bitcoin falls below $80,000 as HBAR’s low-volume slide forces a directional move】
Bitcoin fell below $80,000 ahead of the Fed meeting, prompting the market to reduce risk first. HBAR is down 1.4% over 24 hours and 9.3% over seven days. Calling this an “oversold bounce” would be the easy answer, but I don’t buy it.
On the daily chart, both highs and lows are still moving lower, and any rebound will first face resistance at 0.079652. On the 4-hour chart, price is consolidating between 0.074718 and 0.079652, with no clear direction yet. The 1-hour chart shows weak, choppy price action, with support being tested repeatedly. Trading volume is low, suggesting neither bulls nor bears are ready to commit.
I’m more inclined to expect a test of 0.074718 before a direct move higher. If price breaks below that level on rising volume and fails to recover it, the weak structure will likely extend. If, instead, the 4-hour chart closes above 0.079652 on rising volume and holds it on a retest, that view is invalidated; only then could a “higher low—another challenge of the previous high” begin to take shape.
In practical terms, being 87% below its ATH doesn’t mean HBAR is cheap. To build a viable commercial loop, HBAR needs applications, transactions, enterprise payments, and node incentives to reinforce one another. Price recovery is unlikely to last if it relies only on subsidies and narratives. Developers, enterprise payers, and node operators will be the ones truly affected. Technology can reshape an industry, but ultimately, real-world use has to pay for the value.
Do you think this move marks the start of genuine demand, or is the market waiting for liquidity on low volume?
