The price is rising in the order book, but the discussion area isn’t getting much hotter—over on the
$SOL contract side, they’ve already started heating things up.
Spot has only moved 1.45% for the day; the price has been churning between $103.03 and $105.88, like nobody’s fully awake yet.
Futures volume is already at 1.262 billion, spot is 157 million—an 8x difference. The funding rate is also still sitting at -0.0151%.
This kind of contrast is something I know all too well.
Prices haven’t really surged, yet the shorts have piled into the car first, with holdings stacking up to 8.59 million SOL. That suggests quite a few people are still clinging to the old script of “high inflation.”
But the news has changed the script this time.
This on-chain vote directly increased the rate of the
$SOL inflation downtrend from 15% to 30%, and it passed right at the last moment. The 67% threshold was just barely crossed, with 60.7% participation in staking. This isn’t just talk—it will genuinely change the release schedule going forward.
Why am I leaning bullish?
It’s not because it’s only standing at $105.15 today and I’m excited. It’s this combo: the order book isn’t making big moves, but the shorts are already getting ahead of themselves, and the fundamentals have just been tightened again. In the next phase, it’s very easy to add another emotional push.
And I haven’t never been fooled by votes like this.
Last time there was a governance positive, the discussion forum was shouting like crazy, and the price traded sideways for two days—directly confusing the late chasers. So this time, I won’t rush in just because I see red disappear.
If it were me, I’d keep holding spot and see whether
$SOL can hold the $105.88 level.
If the funding rate stays negative while the price slowly creeps up, I’d actually be even more willing to look at it again.
You tell me—when the news truly lands on-chain, but the order book is still half-believing and half-doubting, isn’t that the most comfortable time… or the easiest time to get trapped?
