Halving $LTC is one of the most anticipated events in the cryptocurrency industry. This phenomenon, similar to BTC, occurs approximately once every four years and has a significant impact on the dynamics of the exchange rate. In this article, I will look at what a halving is, what factors influenced previous post-halving cycles, and what predictions can be made for the subsequent growth of Litecoin. Go!

What is halving?

Halving is an event when the reward for mining a new block is reduced by half. In the situation with Litecoin, at first the reward was 50 LTC per block, then 25, and today it is 12.5 LTC and will soon become 6.25 LTC. This process occurs every 840,000 blocks. Thus, halving plays the role of monetary policy, limiting the release of new coins and controlling inflation.

Previous halvings and their impact on the Litecoin price:

Studying previous cycles after halving allows us to draw interesting conclusions. After the first halving, which occurred in August 2015, the LTC rate increased sharply and reached its all-time high in December 2017. A similar situation occurred after the second halving in August 2019, when the Litecoin rate also rose noticeably. This confirms that halving can stimulate cryptocurrency growth.

The main factors that may affect the growth of LTC after halving:

1️⃣ Decreased supply: The halving limits the number of new coins entering circulation, which can lead to shortages and increased demand for existing coins. This could push the Litecoin rate up.

2️⃣ Interest from Institutional Investors: In recent years, institutional investors have shown increasing interest in cryptocurrencies. After halving, Litecoin may attract the attention of large players, which may also have a positive impact on its rate.

3️⃣ General market dynamics: the growth of the Litecoin rate will also depend on the general dynamics of the cryptocurrency market. If the market as a whole is in a bullish trend during this period, it could support LTC growth.

What do we end up with?

LTC is in the process of exiting a long accumulation that has been going on since May of last year. Remembering the last halving, we see a similar fractal: pro-trading and exit from the global second bottom. We are in a large upward channel, and the real growth will begin after breaking and consolidating above the $100 mark.

Buying in the $80-$90 zone is a good long-term investment opportunity, with a stop loss at $65.

Goals: $115, $135, $160, $190, $230. With active growth, it is possible to reach a maximum of around $300.

Also, don't forget about Bitcoin's impact on the market. Trade with caution, respecting risk and money management. Good luck on the market!
