According to Odaily, Anichess, a Web3 chess game developed by the subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has announced a partnership with leading European esports club, Team Secret. As part of the collaboration, Team Secret's CEO, John Yao, will join Anichess as an advisor. It is reported that Yao will support the launch of a player versus player (PvP) battle mode within this quarter.
In previous news, Anichess completed a funding round of $1.8 million at the end of April. The round was led by Sfermion and Amber Group, with participation from Fenbushi Capital, Aspen Digital, and SNZ Capital. This partnership with Team Secret and the addition of Yao as an advisor marks a significant step in the game's development and expansion.
