At the CZ AMA held today, regarding the regulatory environment and stablecoin issuance in the United States, Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said that he is exploring the possibility of cooperating with stablecoin issuers in different regions.
CZ said that the relationship with Paxos is still good, but BUSD is prohibited from being issued, which basically means that its circulating supply, market value, etc. will gradually decline. But this is a relatively orderly way, people's funds are safe, and they can still redeem them at any time.
CZ mentioned that he has been able to work with multiple stablecoin issuers around the world, some of which are backed by fiat currencies, some are not, and some are algorithmic stablecoins. Many fiat-backed stablecoins are no longer backed by the US dollar and are exploring partners in different regions.
