On March 7, Worldcoin announced the first batch of winners of the community grant program Wave 0. About 800,000 WLD will be awarded to 28 projects across 5 continents, covering World ID applications, World ID protocols, user agents, PoP Innovative solutions from new hardware and other perspectives.
This article will briefly compile and introduce the 13 grant projects that have been disclosed so far, and get a glimpse of how they will further promote the construction of the Worldcoin technology tree (Foresight News note, as shown in the figure below, the Worldcoin technology tree is a visual representation of the key areas of the project. and a subset of potential improvements in these areas).

Voting Solutions Votexx
Votexx is a coercion-resistant voting solution dedicated to bringing a private and secure voting experience to the blockchain world.
Among them, Votexx allows users to cancel (or change) their voting choices at any time, ensuring that any user can vote according to his or her wishes even in the face of coercion. Officials are currently promoting the use of this system by the Crypto Project Foundation and DAO.
Data encryption protocol Zanzibar
Zanzibar is a continuously encrypted mixer protocol designed by David Chaum and Mario Yaksetig, with the goal of continuously re-encrypting a list of data to ensure that the server does not know which data items are stored when the item is stored.
The design also supports efficient private lookups, allowing users with server permissions to privately look up whether an item exists in the database, thereby mitigating rainbow table attacks (Foresight News note, a rainbow table attack is a password cracking technique that By pre-computing and storing a large number of mapping relationships between hash values and corresponding plaintext, it can speed up the reverse cracking of password hash values).
Proof Aggregation Protocol NEBRA
NEBRA is building the first proof aggregation protocol on Ethereum, which will use a common proof aggregation structure to aggregate zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) for a variety of applications, including but not limited to privacy identity protection, storage proofs, and zero-knowledge machine learning (ZKML) and zkEVM proofs.
NEBRA will work with Worldcoin related contribution teams to introduce the proof aggregation protocol into L2 such as Optimism. More specifically, NEBRA built an L2 optimization protocol based on the NEBRA protocol at the base layer to further reduce the Gas cost of L2 ZKP verification.
UBI new model Ribbon Protocol
Ribbon Protocol is developing a new model that aims to combine Universal Basic Income (UBI) with universal health coverage, thereby leveraging the health and socioeconomic data of World ID users to enhance the well-being of users around the world.
The protocol rewards users for engaging in activities that help assess their needs and connects them with personalized services. Since its inception in 2017, Ribbon Protocol has received support from high-profile entities such as Consensys, Blockchain 4 Humanity, and South Africa’s National Department of Health. It has also been hailed as one of the top 20 initiatives expected to have a significant impact on the next billion people within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Privacy Agreement xx Network
Privacy is a basic human right that is directly related to the release of human potential, and xx Network aims to use Worldcoin's WalletKit and xx network's xxDK to comprehensively build hybrid network technology cMixx.
Among them, the hybrid network technology cMixx was pioneered by the well-known cryptography expert David Chaum. It is one of the most complex hybrid network technologies in the world. It enables Worldcoin users to use various digital applications while protecting their personal data. This integration not only enhances user trust, but also sets a new standard for protecting digital identities against emerging threats such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing abuse.
World ID State Replication Protocol Rarimo
Rarimo is making World ID available on any EVM chain, and thanks to Rarimo’s on-demand cross-chain state replication design, multi-chain use of World ID will also be extremely cost-effective.
In the future, even the smallest EVM-compatible chains will be able to directly access WorldID services without financial burden.
Witch-proof voting system Wonderland
Wonderland aims to provide a witch-proof voting system based on World ID, and only on-chain addresses verified by orb iris are eligible to participate in the DAO.
It plans to first support using this feature to build a governance system that truly achieves democratic governance, where a minimum viable product (MVP) will focus on creating a scalable governor contract and deploying it for testing. A user-friendly interface will also be developed to provide an intuitive voting experience.
Modular governance platform TheVoice
TheVoice is a modular governance platform that incorporates majority rule, quadratic voting, and conviction voting mechanisms, focusing on the design and implementation of effective digital governance mechanisms.
At the same time, it may also affect the collective decision-making process within the organization, including extending from the DAO and other organizations to the wider field.
Grant Distribution Mechanism Wallfacer
POPGDP (PoP-based Authorized Distribution Portal) launched by Wallfacer aims to assist the Worldcoin Foundation in distributing grants, leveraging World ID to implement a witch-resistant voting mechanism and incentivize high-quality user participation.
While grants are a great way to get a project off the ground, the process is often cumbersome and plagued by bots and low-quality spam. World ID can be leveraged through POPGDP to make the voting and review process for grant allocations transparent, democratic and free from manipulation.
Its main features include anti-witch voting, incentivized participation, efficient processing, and a user-first approach, and the team is currently completing the v1 version of POPCDP.
DAO governance platform Clade Club
Clade Club is a platform designed to solve major challenges facing DAOs.
For example, in the current DAO system, since voting rights depend on the number of tokens owned by voters, power will eventually be concentrated in the hands of a few people. The Clade Club is solving this problem through a unique voting system – one that in many ways emphasizes the quality of people’s contributions to the community.
Clade Club creates a dynamic and user-oriented environment through real-time interactive debate, where participants can vote up or down on each other's contributions, ensuring that informed decision-making by the community becomes a central link.
This approach promises to decentralize governance, ensuring the collective wisdom of the community and guiding decision-making based on community contributions.
Merkle Tree Explorer Merkle Tree Explorer
Merkle Tree Explorer A Merkle Tree browser is being built that will visualize the Merkle Tree corresponding to the Merkle roots committed on the Ethereum blockchain.
All World ID public keys and their construction will be visualized, allowing users to verify the validity of World ID in an accessible way and advance the decentralization process through transparency, verifiability and flexibility.
Personal Data Monetization Agreement RewardMe
RewardMe aims to revolutionize the way users monetize their daily consumption data by rewarding users with cryptocurrency, thereby injecting power into the decentralized ecosystem created by AI-based Measurable Data Tokens.
Simply put, RewardMe strives to create a secure environment where users can contribute their data without the risk of fraud, and it meets this challenge with the help of advanced fraud detection measures that, while essential, Sometimes it does hinder the experience of community users.
To solve this problem, RewardMe adopts World ID’s Proof of Personality Concept (PoP) to effectively combat false identities, which ensures that every user linked to World ID is a verified and unique individual, thus greatly reducing the possibility of fraud. .
At the same time, this integration not only simplifies RewardMe’s day-to-day operations, but also sets a new standard for the user verification process, ultimately allowing it to focus more on rewarding real users rather than just fighting fraud.
Orb Assembly Project IDMaster
IDMaster aims to help more people use WorldID and believes that having an ID that protects privacy, is independent from the government and gives everyone equal rights is a basic human right.
To achieve this, IDMaster is streamlining the process of assembling the Orb. If Orbs can be easily created globally in a trustless manner, it will be easier for more people to join the World ID protocol. We plan to complete the first Orb assembly and lessons learned in March, and then share those lessons learned and our next steps in the weeks that follow.
