What is CoinGate

CoinGate is a fintech company founded in 2014 in Lithuania. It processes cryptocurrency payments and offers payment services for small and large businesses. CoinGate promotes mass adoption of cryptocurrencies by offering a variety of crypto payment options for both brick-and-mortar and online merchants.

The significance of the new partnership

Binance Pay users will be able to pay for goods and services in stores that are connected to the CoinGate system. There are currently no fees for making payments, and connected merchants will be able to automatically accept payments through Binance Pay. However, this feature can be enabled or disabled as desired.

Using Binance Pay

Binance Pay is available on the Binance app. You can open and use the service in the following ways:

  1. Tap the QR code scanner icon on the main page of the Binance app and scan the recipient's QR code.

  2. Tap and hold the Binance app icon and then open the QR code scanner. Scan the recipient's QR code to send the payment via Binance Pay.

  3. Go to the Binance Pay page in the Binance app.

  4. Go to the “Wallet - Top-ups - Pay” section.
