Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao and Tesla CEO Elon Musk have resumed their “battle.” It began in the comments under a post by Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus.
Jokes were being made as traders booked real losses — $BTC was falling alongside stocks.
Musk and CZ react to the crypto market crash
In response to a question from Dogecoin co-founder about what was happening in the market, Musk posted a blurred image of CZ with a red filter—a reference to the red candles on price charts.

This wasn’t the first time Musk had trolled CZ. On October 29, when North Korea-linked hackers siphoned about $6.3 billion from Binance, Musk posted laughing emojis under CZ’s post about security measures.
CZ called it “a bad time for trolling” and hinted at the possibility of selling the businessman’s company shares.
This time, Binance founder decided to join the meme battle and posted an image of a character sitting on the ground with an arrow in a bleeding leg.

Binance co-founder Yi He joined in about an hour later. She quoted Musk’s post with a meme: a scene from “The Matrix” in which the red pill reveals the harsh truth, while the blue pill leaves you in a world of illusions.
Her image featured a version of Musk’s image of CZ with red and green filters. Yi He asked her followers: “Which pill do you choose?”

Wall Street sell-off
The sell-off began in the US. On Thursday, a plunge in shares of AI chipmakers wiped $2 trillion off market capitalizations, and the sell-off spread around the world overnight.
When the Dogecoin co-founder logged on from Japan, the pressure spread to Asian markets. South Korea’s KOSPI fell below 5,000 points, triggering a trading halt after dropping 8%.
The stock market sell-off quickly hit cryptocurrencies too. One trader lost 201 $BTC —about $15.6 million at the time.
During this time, Bitcoin fell below $80,000 and hit a monthly low.
