JUST IN: $4.5M Telegram Exploit
A user exploited a Telegram bot payment/refund vulnerability for nearly two months, generating around $4.5 million worth of Stars.
Reportedly, the exploit allowed stars to appear in a user’s balance after payment, while certain gift purchases could trigger refunds that left part of the stars behind. This made it possible to repeat the process and accumulate stars through the bug.
Around $1.5 million was reportedly withdrawn before Telegram blocked gift transfers. The stars were used to buy expensive gifts, including rare Plush Pepe NFTs.
