The day everyone feared became the bottom of $PUMP : In 3 months, it rose 4x

Last July, Pump.fun publicly sold its coin at $0.004 each, selling out $500 million in just 12 minutes.
Then it just kept sliding: it broke below the issue price in October; this June, it hit a low of 0.00115. People who bought the ICO lost 70%, and the nonstop criticism of “fund-raising platform coins” never stopped.
Now $PUMP is back at 0.006—50% higher than the issue price. What happened during these 3 months?

🖨️ First, understand what PUMP runs on
Pump.fun is the largest meme coin launchpad on Solana—anyone can create a coin with a single click, and it takes a fee from every transaction.
It uses about half of its revenue to buy PUMP in the market, then burns it immediately. To date, it has burned 17% of the total supply.
In plain terms, it’s a “cash-shredding machine.” Its fuel is the hype around memes: the hotter the hype, the more revenue it generates, and the more coins it buys back and burns.

1️⃣ The most feared day became the floor
The team and early investors hold 33% of the total supply and locked it for a full year. On July 12, the lock-up expires. The market expected that the first wave of unlocks would be worth over $100 million, and everyone waited for them to dump.
But the lowest point came in late June—70% below the issue price. In the worst case, the selloff had already played out early.
After the unlock, PUMP didn’t drop—it went up. In one week, it surged by nearly 40%.

2️⃣ The cash-shredder accelerated
At the same time, memes on Solana heated up again. Pump.fun’s monthly revenue doubled from $26.6 million in June to $58 million in August.
With revenue doubling, buybacks doubled too: the monthly amount of coins bought back and burned rose from $12.2 million to $27.1 million.
On August 21, after lying under the issue price for 10 months, PUMP regained 0.004 for the first time.
In the last 7 days, its revenue was $18 million—6o% more than Hyperliquid. The coin price rose again by nearly 60% over the next 9 days.

⚠️ But the other side of the seesaw is getting heavier too
Insiders’ tokens aren’t released all at once: starting August 12, about 6.9 billion coins unlock every month for 3 years.
When the price was 0.0015, those coins were only worth $10 million per month, so buybacks could easily absorb them. Now at 0.006, the same amount is worth $40 million—already more than the roughly $25 million in monthly buybacks.
The higher the price rises, the larger the pile of sell pressure that needs to be absorbed.

📅 What to watch next
• Daily revenue: now around $2.5 million per day—whether it can hold determines how fast the cash-shredder keeps turning;
• Insiders’ wallets: the largest share went to one wallet with 52 billion coins. When it transfers to exchanges, that’s a signal;
• Meme hype: revenue tracks Solana meme momentum. If hype cools, revenue and buybacks will drop together.

My take: this round of PUMP is happening with both “bad news fully priced in” and “business getting better” at the same time. The logic is simple: just watch how hot the memes are and whether insiders sell. If you want to follow $PUMP , focus on its daily revenue more than the K-line.
