Conclusion first: Bitcoin hasn’t dropped much today, but in the past hour the long side has been nearly wiped out.

At the current price around 85,350, it’s down about 0.88% over the last 24 hours. Binance and OKX show basically the same figures. The high was 87,246 and the low was 85,219.

The issue lies in the leveraged structure. In the past hour, the total liquidations across the entire market were about $10.03 million, and 99.7% of it was long liquidations, with shorts accounting for less than $30,000. If we extend it to 4 hours, longs still make up 98%. Hyperliquid alone absorbed $7.12 million, representing 42% of the entire market’s liquidations in those 4 hours. And among that $7.12 million, there wasn’t a single short position—pure one-sided beating.

Looking at a 24-hour window, it’s actually not as extreme: longs account for only 47%. That suggests this wave of fully long-dominated liquidations was only recently triggered, not leftover debts from the past day.

Open interest shrank by 1.41% to $50.4 billion in one day. Binance alone reduced its positions by 4.26%, a clear signal of deleveraging.
