U.S. stocks closed higher on 9/21. S&P 500 closed at 7753.44 (+1.35%), Nasdaq 100 at 27044.83 (+1.97%), and the Dow at 52013.10 (+0.64%). Tech led the gains, and risk appetite rebounded. The overnight main themes were memory and semiconductors: Sandisk and Micron led the move, followed by SK Hynix and NVIDIA as well; SOXL was up about +7.7%. In optical communications, Lumentum and Coherent also rose in tandem. Chinese concept stocks—Alibaba was up about +4.3%—and crypto-related names were also active.

At A open, risk appetite is on the higher side. Prefer mapping to semiconductors and memory, computing power, and optical communications.

Yesterday at A, Shanghai Composite 3949.91 (+0.97%), Shenzhen Component 13730.02 (+0.65%), ChiNext 3399.59 (+0.80%), and STAR Market 50 1657.48 (+0.29%) all held above both the 5-day and 20-day moving averages. For the Shanghai Composite, watch support at 3920–3930 and resistance at 3950–3960. For STAR Market 50, watch 1650/1670.
