Citibank will roll out a tokenized-deposit-based international remittance service for Japanese businesses by the end of the year, enabling instant cross-border payments 24/7 between participating countries.

This service will be the first product of its kind provided by a foreign bank in Japan. There are currently no further details on participating countries or the scope of eligible customers who can use it.
