FTs are basically zero-coupon bond claims: fixed interest rate, known maturity date, deterministic returns. There’s no need to guess what its debt will look like six months later.
Then there’s GT.
Instead of typically forcing degens to manually manage leverage loops, collateral ratios, and maneuver around liquidation risk, it bundles the GT gearing strategy into a product. The messy ‘plumbing’ is cleaned up and removed on the surface: including continuous ‘babysitting’ to keep its collateral health under control.
