Long push: Modular trend, a must-have sector in this bull market

With the rise of Tia and Alt projects, as well as modular public chains Manta and blast, modularization has become a sector that must be paid attention to.

Logically, I think it is a must-have sector for the bull market

First, please note: This is not a purchase recommendation. Instead, my current research is in preparation for future opportunities.

1. Modular investment logic

In the past, Dapps could only be developed on public chains. Now, due to the maturity of modularity, Dapps can easily build a customized public chain at low cost. This has three major benefits:

1. Use modularization to customize the public chain and build it according to the characteristics of your own application.

Another implicit benefit here is that it is no longer squeezed by the resources of other ecology of the original public chain. Especially in the bull market, the popularity of a Dapp often causes the gas of the entire public chain to soar and TPS to be exhausted. Other DAPPs on the public chain often increase the cost of use for users, and frequent confirmation failures lead to poor user performance.

2. The market value ceiling of public chains is high, much higher than that of dapps. Especially for current Dapps, new stories are needed to open up the ceiling of market value, so it is a very good idea to build a public chain.

3. It can build its own ecosystem. When there was no layer2 before, there was a phenomenon of building an ecosystem around large-scale Dapps, such as curve war. Essentially an application

After it becomes very large, it can form its own ecology. There are many projects in the curve ecosystem, and this phenomenon will naturally lead to Dapp establishing layer 2 and bringing its own ecosystem.

In fact, the recently popular staking airdrop gameplay perfectly matches the public chain ecosystem. The current Dapp treasury is very rich, supporting the ecology, providing users and financial support, and ecological projects are airdropped, forming a win-win strategy.

Nowadays, many Dapps have become public chains, and many are using modularization to build new public chains. I have a feeling that the Dapp explosion in the 21-year bull market is expected to evolve into the public chain and Layer 2 explosion in the 25-year bull market. Then modular projects will definitely become infrastructure.

2. What is modularity?

Modular blockchain adopts a layered technology architecture, which divides the core functions of the blockchain into several independent modules, with each module focusing on completing specific tasks. This design enables blockchain networks to operate more flexibly and efficiently. The following are the main modules and their functions in this architecture:

1. Consensus layer: The main responsibility of this layer is to confirm the order and final establishment of transactions. As the foundation of the blockchain, it ensures the correctness and consistency of transaction records in the network.

2. Data availability layer: This layer is responsible for storing the data necessary to verify the validity of transactions. It ensures that all network participants have access to transaction data, allowing them to independently verify the legitimacy of each transaction.

3. Settlement layer: Especially in blockchains using Rollup technology, this layer is responsible for verifying the status data of Layer 2 and processing related fraud or validity certificates. This is a critical step in ensuring final settlement of the transaction.

4. Execution layer: This layer handles transaction execution and status updates. It is responsible for actually running smart contracts and handling 3 logic on the blockchain.

In a modular blockchain, these layers are separated, and they can work in parallel and optimize independently. The advantage of this architecture is that it provides higher processing efficiency and better scalability, while also making it easier to customize and upgrade for specific needs. In this way, blockchain can respond more effectively to different types of loads and changing technical needs.

3. Key objectives of modularization

1. The consensus layer and the data availability layer are often consistent, because the consensus determines the data.

2. There are many more projects. The above are the projects I plan to study.

3. The above classification may not necessarily be accurate because there has not been in-depth research.
