Pixelcraft Studios, the developer of the metaverse game Aavegotchi, announced the successful completion of a multi-year long-term token sale, raising a total of US$30 million. The Aavegotchi token GHST has been launched through the DAICO (decentralized autonomous ICO) for more than two years since September 14, 2020. Due to uncertainty about the stability of the DAI stablecoin, AavegotchiDAO voted to terminate the sale. No venture capital or angel investors directly participated in this financing. It is reported that the funds will be distributed among community participants, with Pixelcraft Studios, the main developer of Aavegotchi, receiving 25%, or US$7.5 million, and the DAO treasury receiving the remaining US$22.5 million. All funds will be used exclusively for development, marketing, providing liquidity or protocol rewards. (PR Newswire)
