According to Foresight News, Steven Nerayoff, a former Ethereum advisor, has filed a lawsuit against the US government, accusing federal agents of 'maliciously' investigating and prosecuting him. He is seeking $96 billion in damages. The lawsuit alleges that as part of their 'collective phishing operation', federal agents subpoenaed, surveilled, and even arrested Steven Nerayoff, despite knowing that the charges against him were 'baseless in fact and law'.
Previously, Steven Nerayoff was arrested in 2019 for allegedly extorting 10,000 Ethereum from a crypto startup. The subsequent lawsuit lasted for about four years, ending in May 2023 when the US government dismissed the lawsuit.
