Digital asset platform Magic Eden announced it will temporarily halt trading of Bitcoin in its BRC-20 format, citing user protection and decreased activity as factors behind the move.
Following the completion of the sats mint, there has been a significant drop in BRC-20 activity, substantially reducing its relevance in the Bitcoin blockchain. As it stands, the daily transactions of BRC-20 represent less than 3% of all transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain.
