FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on the X platform that in response to the question raised by U.S. House of Representatives Congressman Al Green, "Do you believe we can have a properly regulated digital currency?", U.S. SEC Chairman Gary Gensler replied: "I think the U.S. dollar is quite strong, and we have used it as a form of digital dollar. Crypto tokens are different. They are not currencies and cannot meet the three functions of currency, namely value storage, accounting unit and medium of exchange. Maybe it can be done in the future, but frankly speaking, it will not happen in 2023."
