The founder and former CEO of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), will defend himself in a 15-day trial in October against charges brought against him by the US Department of Justice (DOJ). The court calendar shows SBF's trial will begin today (October 3) with jury selection, with open debate to take place on October 4. The remaining court dates this week are October 5 and 6. The trial could continue until 2024 if the case is not resolved by then. However, Judge Lewis Kaplan said the trial could end in late November, around Thanksgiving. The likelihood of SBF's success appears low as most of its defense strategies have faced obstacles from the court.
