Logbook #3 | Ethereum, my first cryptocurrency?

When I started researching cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin was one of the projects that caught my attention. But after seeing how much its price can fluctuate, I became concerned and looked for other options.

Among them, Ethereum interested me because of its smart contract technology, and at the time I thought it might be less volatile.

So, I made my first cryptocurrency purchase: on 20/08/2026, I paid 10 dollars for 0,00422645 $ETH . Based on that transaction, the price I paid was equivalent to approximately 2,366 dollars per ETH.

Over time, I understood that ETH can also experience significant price swings, so choosing it didn’t eliminate that risk.

What did I learn?

That experience taught me to start small, better understand what I’m investing in, and move forward calmly, keeping a long-term perspective.
