This week, oh-my-coder completed its most intense iteration ever, transitioning from a command line tool to a desktop app, evolving from a single function to a full-fledged Agent collaboration system. We basically polished the entire project.

What went down this week

This is the biggest update of the week.
oh-my-coder now has a legit desktop app; you no longer need to stare at that black command line window, but can execute all your trades on a clean interface:

In recent years, some events in the tech circle have sent shivers down the spines of all Chinese developers:
OpenAI announced that from July 9, 2024, they will cut off API services to Chinese developers.
Claude is even more ruthless - announcing that starting September 2025, any company with over 50% Chinese capital will have their accounts directly banned, no matter where you are, a hard cut.
In February 2026, OpenAI took action against Chinese accounts linked to cyber special forces, fake accounts, and attempts to contact U.S. officials, continuing to halt API access for countries and regions not on the support list (including China), and executing a mass exit of domestic applications that are just shells.

1. Has programming really been "solved"?
In May 2026, at the AI Ascent summit, Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, shared his working status:
"Since around October and November last year, the model has been able to write 100% of my code. Since 2026, I haven't manually written a single line of code."
This statement has sparked a massive reaction in the developer community, with many people exclaiming: programming issues have really been resolved.
But upon closer reflection, there's one issue that was overlooked: he's using Claude Pro, which costs $25 a month, and requires a VPN.
