It says $391,000 at the top, but click into the pool and there’s only $73,600. Let me check the numbers on this page for you:
$M .
I was scanning the rankings this morning when I opened M’s detail page. The “Liquidity” figure at the top said $391,000. Scroll down, and the pool funds are listed as $73,600—a 5.3-fold difference. Same page, same pool, two figures that don’t match. The combined depth across decentralized exchanges is less than $100,000, which lines up with the $73,600 figure, not the $391,000 one. Trust the pool figure, not the one at the top.
The pool was created on July 3 last year, so it’s been around for over a year. When it started, the entire pool held just $15.20, with only $7.62 on the USDT side. It’s grown to $73,600 now, which sounds like a lot—but M is in the $1.24 billion market-cap range, and the pool is still less than one ten-thousandth of its market cap. Over 24 hours, $21,000 passed through this pool across 236 trades, averaging $89 each: 172 buys worth $15,700 and 64 sells worth $5,360. There are 8,290 holders, and the top ten hold 40%.
The prices match on both sides. Looking elsewhere, M is around $1.07, while the ranking page shows $1.0791. It’s up 14% over 24 hours, and in just over ten minutes this morning, the gain climbed from 12.1% to 14.4%. But the volume doesn’t match: elsewhere, 24-hour volume is over $860,000—41 times this pool’s volume. Trades aren’t happening in this pool at all; it’s just a storefront on the rankings page.
The project itself is MemeCore, a Layer 1 blockchain built for Meme 2.0, where memes serve as culture, currency, and governance. The name isn’t new, and the pool isn’t new. What’s new is that the numbers on this page don’t add up today.
From here, I’m watching just three things: whether the pool’s funds move toward the figure at the top, and whether the two figures start matching; whether volume returns to this pool; and whether the top ten loosen their 40% grip. If the pool keeps shrinking below $70,000 and the gap between the two figures keeps widening, then today’s accounting was pointless. If you’re holding, check two things now: which venue your trades are going through, and how far its price is from the pool’s; and whether any of the top ten addresses have moved. If the pool gets deeper and the figures line up, I’ll run the numbers again.
Alpha coins are volatile and could go to zero. This is just a review, not investment advice. It says $391,000 at the top, but there’s only $73,600 in the pool—which one do you trust?
