GM☕️ What happens when you let AI run a project, change the rules itself, and sustain itself with trading fees? What will it do to $CLAUS?

The key idea: Hand a token over to AI to manage continuously. Both the token and its trading rules are upgradeable contracts, so new ideas can keep being added to the same token. Trading fees go toward development, buybacks and burns, and adding liquidity.

What’s already been built: When it rains in London, a bigger share of the trading fees goes to burning tokens; when it doesn’t, more goes toward adding liquidity. Buys and sells in the main pool can also create waves in a climbing game, where players have to climb up and dodge the rising water.

Even the token’s name and ticker can be changed, so holders can keep playing without having to swap their tokens.

They added NFTs this morning, too: deposit 50,000 CLAUS to mint one, and burn the NFT to get the tokens back. There are 300 in total, and they share 0.35% of the main pool’s ETH trading volume, weighted by how long they’re held.

I’m personally quite into this kind of experiment, where new features keep getting added to the same token. Curious to see what else it comes up with. I bought some in batches yesterday around a $2m market cap, trimmed my position along the way, and I’m still holding some at a profit.

Minting the NFT this morning nearly killed me 🫠.

The token’s on Fomo, where you normally don’t have to worry about gas, but this mint wasn’t gasless. I rushed to transfer tokens to another wallet, but by the time I’d approved it, minting was already closed. In the end, I could only snag one on the secondary market. I’m so mad 🤡

$CLAUS has 3X'd
It’s arguably the first coin with a hot-updatable rules layer.

Today, the Hooks page listed 7 mechanisms currently in use: project fees, burns, adding liquidity, London weather determining the burn/liquidity ratio, Fomo buybacks, changeable names/tickers, and the Arena game.

Just now, I was also posting that I got an identity.md NFT. I want to run my own worker in a swarm and use money earned from contributing code to fund new experiments. I’m also tweaking the Arena’s difficulty design (water-level caps, route changes, etc.).

Man, these hooks are really active.

The mainnet saw a coin that can change its own rules, $CLAUS. The coin is its own agent.

It created a Uniswap v4 pool, and the hook is controlled by its wallet. After the hook goes live, you can even swap the code.

Things like fees and gameplay can be added later. Early on, there were experiments on the project: an old coin had its name changed, but the contract stayed the same.

This experiment is interesting—of course, the ability to change code is also a risk point, such as changing fees or even minting more.
