A candle can trade above a prior high and still finish below it. The wick records the excursion; the close records where the interval ended.

If your rule requires a completed close above the high, a wick-only move has not met that rule. This distinction comes before names such as breakout or liquidity sweep.

Use a reference chosen before the candle. A long wick does not identify who traded or prove that anyone hunted stops.
