In the next half month, my little personal projections for ETH

Once the inflation data comes out tonight, it will most likely match expectations. ETH will most likely get hit first, break below 2400, and then look for support around 2380. 2380 is a pretty key level—there are lots of positions stacked there. As long as it gets sold into and there are buyers to absorb it, and ETH can quickly reclaim above 2400, then it’s basically a fake-out and shakeout. No need to panic.

Next comes a grind sideways, wearing you down until next Thursday’s Fed decision. If they hike by 25 basis points, ETH should drop first and then rise. If the bad news gets absorbed and price moves upward instead, then I’ll basically conclude the bull market is back. Of course, if 2380 directly breaks down and can’t be reclaimed, or if the rate hike comes in above expectations, then we keep hunkering down.

In plain terms, it’s just two sentences: tonight watch whether 2380 holds; next Thursday, watch whether after the bad news is priced in it can be reclaimed. If both steps succeed, the bull is back.

This ultra-narrow range is classic compression before a massive volatility explosion.

With the Fed rate decision right around the corner on September 15–16, the market is refusing to choose a definitive direction just yet.
A clean weekly close above $2,550 unlocks a fast runway toward $2,656 and $2,812.

Lose $2,440, and we take a quick detour to test $2,344 instead.
Stop fighting the sideways chop in the middle of the range.
The real expansion is loading, patience here pays far better than overtrading.

My bias remains bearish on the 1H. ETH continues printing lower highs and lower lows while trading below both EMAs, with volume staying relatively quiet. For now, I see this as a counter-trend pullback within the broader bullish daily and weekly structure, while bearish BTC structure adds further short-term downside pressure.

The first target is the 2440 swing-low liquidity. If that level breaks, I’m watching 2434–2403, with 2368 as the deeper magnet if selling pressure accelerates.

Short setup:
Rejection zone: 2470–2484

I want to see a sweep of 2483.99 followed by a 15M/5M market structure shift lower, or a strong bearish engulfing/pin from the supply zone before entering. No blind shorts and no chasing price in the middle of the range.

Take Profit:
TP1: 2440
TP2: 2434–2403
TP3: 2368

Invalidation: 1H close above 2483.99.

If ETH reclaims and closes above 2483.99 on the 1H, this bearish setup is invalid and my short-term bias flips bullish.
