XMR Wallet API Proposed to Improve Cross-Account Transaction Lookup|Code Approved by Two Reviewers but Not Yet Merged|I’m Waiting for Price Confirmation My stance is to watch cautiously and not treat development progress as a price-pumping signal. PR #11533, submitted to Monero’s official code repository on October 11, proposes adding an optional `all_accounts` parameter to the wallet RPC method `get_transfer_by_txid`. When enabled, it would look up a transaction ID across all accounts in the wallet; by default, the existing single-account behavior would remain unchanged. The page shows that two reviewers approved the change on October 12, but the PR is still open and marked as awaiting review. There is still a gap between “the code has been approved by someone” and “it has officially been merged and included in a version users are running.” Why is this worth watching? Recipients may use one wallet to manage multiple accounts or subaddresses. The old interface looks for a transaction within the selected account, so reconciling across accounts requires fetching the transaction list first and then filtering it. If the proposal is eventually implemented, it could reduce the effort required by merchants, wallet services, and reconciliation scripts to find missing transactions. Monero’s current wallet RPC documentation still lists only the transaction ID and `account_index`, which is precisely why users should not yet build production workflows on the assumption that the new parameter is available. This does not change on-chain privacy, transaction fees, or XMR issuance rules, and it is no basis for concluding that an exchange is about to list the coin or that institutions are buying. I’ll watch to see whether it is merged, when it makes it into an official release, and whether integrators actually adopt it. None of those three steps is equivalent to bullish news for the price. The market reaction also needs to be separated out. At the time of writing, the latest trade on Kraken XMR/USD was around $533.56, with a daily open near $536.99 and a rolling range of approximately $527.91–$539.04. The price is slightly below the daily open, and this movement cannot be attributed to this code proposal. The trending topics on the platform’s Plaza and the six-hour search rankings did not include an exact topic directly related to XMR, so I won’t force a connection to other coins or hardware-wallet security tags. For me, around $539 is the top of the range and around $528 is the bottom. These are merely reference points for observing the current market, not official price targets. If the price breaks above $539 but quickly falls back, or drops below $528 and fails to recover, my original range-based view is invalidated and I’ll need to reassess the price—not mechanically add to my position. If I were trading this myself, I’d stay out for now and wouldn’t place a FOMO buy order. My tentative bias is to wait for a pullback and then take a small long position, with no high leverage under any circumstances. I would only consider opening a trial position using 2% of my total trading capital if the price establishes a sustained breakout above $539, then holds above $536 on a retest, and the broader market is not weakening at the same time. The first target would be $548; after reaching it, I’d sell half and move the stop-loss on the remainder to around breakeven. The second target would be $558, where I’d gradually close the rest. The initial stop-loss would be below $532. If, after entry, the price quickly falls back below $539 and trading volume weakens noticeably, I’d close early. If $528 is lost first, this long-trade plan is canceled and I’ll stay in cash. I won’t write “plan triggered” as if a trade has already been filled. The project’s improvements can be verified over time; trading discipline needs to be followed today. #XMR The above is solely my personal market observation and does not constitute investment advice.
