I really believed Siacoin would reach $0.30. Then I sold at a loss. I used to hold $SC. And I really thought that one day this coin would be worth 30 cents each. Then I lost faith. I sold at a loss and moved the money into coins I thought had better prospects. I say “thought” because switching to another coin doesn’t guarantee you’ll make back your losses. You can change the name in your portfolio and end up with the same result. But I didn’t want to keep holding SC just because I once expected it to hit $0.30. It’s strange, this attachment to a coin. At first, you choose it because you see potential. Then, without even noticing, you might start holding on simply because you hate to sell for less than you paid. And that’s when it helps to ask yourself: if I had cash instead of this coin right now, would I buy it again? If the answer is “no,” what exactly am I waiting for? I don’t know whether selling SC will turn out to be the right decision in the long run. It could still rise and make me regret getting out. But I’ve lost my old conviction that it would reach $0.30. Anyone here still holding Siacoin? What are you counting on—and why do you believe in it now? $SC #SC {spot}(SCUSDT)

CVX is awake: up nearly 24% in 24 hours. Can longtime holders still win?Convex Finance made a comeback today. As of my check on October 21, CVX is trading at around $2.62: up about 23.6% in 24 hours and 32.3% over the week. Trading volume is around $33 million, roughly six times higher than the previous day. Trading in the coin has picked up again. For anyone seeing the name for the first time: Convex is connected to Curve, a cryptocurrency exchange platform. It helps participants in its pools earn boosted rewards. That’s why CVX is of interest to those following DeFi and the CRV ecosystem.

BMT is up 28%. Long-time holders, are you smiling yet, or is it still too soon?As of the October 21 check, Bubblemaps is trading at around $0.0234. It's up about 28% in 24 hours. Looks strong—until you remember how far the coin has fallen. According to CoinGecko, its all-time high was around $0.317. So even after today's rise, BMT is still about 92.6% below its peak. And that's where the phrase “the coin took off” means something different to everyone.

IOST nearly doubled in 24 hours. Is there still room to grow?IOST has clearly decided to grab attention today. At the time of writing on October 21, the price was around $0.00146, up nearly 86% in 24 hours. The 24-hour high reached $0.001564. But the most interesting thing is the volume. Around $186 million worth of the coin was traded in 24 hours, while its market cap was about $52.6 million. Trading is extremely active. Just don’t confuse the two: that’s the total value of buys and sells, not $186 million in new money flowing into the project.

Game developers are afraid to put demos on Steam, worried they’ll be decompiled and stolen using Claude Japanese indie publisher Alliance Arts pulled one of its upcoming games from Steam’s October festival at the last minute, fearing that malicious actors could use AI to copy the game’s gameplay and visuals. “There’s a risk that knockoffs and clones could appear before our game does,” the company wrote. Lucas Pope, creator of Papers, Please, also admitted that he’s uncomfortable talking about his new project, since AI—and the people who use it—will inevitably vacuum up its ideas. It’s unclear how to promote new titles in this situation. Skeptics argue that if AI can copy a game down to the last detail in a couple of days, then it wasn’t a real game to begin with, just a soulless knockoff. But in the indie development world, a single interesting mechanic or unique visual style can easily become a game’s main selling point, and demos and Steam festivals remain the primary way to promote them.

SUI at $20, AAVE at $1,500, and RENDER at $30: What would need to happen?Let’s continue looking at altcoins with growth potential. Today: three different areas—an application-focused blockchain, crypto lending, and GPU computing. Let’s consider very bullish scenarios through the end of 2030. The figures below are my illustrative reference points for discussion, not a calculated fair value or a promise of returns. It’s impossible to determine the “maximum possible price” in advance.

🔥 ALT has come alive too — up around 22.6% in 24 hours! As of October 20, CoinMarketCap showed a price of around $0.0105. 24-hour trading volume was about $65 million, with all coins in circulation valued at around $77 million. Trading is active. Now the question is whether ALT can stay above one cent. After a jump like this, some are expecting more gains, while others are already selling and taking profits. I haven’t found any recent confirmed news that would explain today’s rise. And here’s an easy trap to fall into: “The coin costs just a cent — I’ll buy a lot.” But a low price per coin doesn’t necessarily mean it’s cheap: around 7.37 billion ALT are already in circulation. 💬 Who’s holding $ALT — has this rise put you in the green, or is your buy-in price still a long way off? #ALT #AltLayer #альткоины

Now the question is: can it climb higher, or will people start selling and taking profits after such a surge? I haven’t found any recent news that would explain this jump. So I won’t claim that “the whales know something.” When a coin rises this much, it’s tempting to buy before it’s too late. 🚀 ETH at $10,000, SOL at $500, LINK at $100: What would need to happen for prices like these to become reality? It’s easy to name an impressive price. Much more interesting is figuring out how big a project would need to become for that price to make sense. My three picks for the long-term watchlist are Ethereum, Solana, and Chainlink. I’m choosing based on utility, their roles in the infrastructure, and the potential for demand for their tokens to grow. The time horizon is through the end of 2030. The figures below are my illustrative bullish scenarios, not calculated fair values, analyst forecasts, or promises of returns.

Could AI become a threat to crypto wallets before quantum computers? It sounds like science fiction, but this is exactly the kind of scenario Ethereum researchers are discussing right now. Ethereum researcher Justin Drake urged the crypto industry to start preparing for what’s known as “bunker mode.” The concern is that, in the worst-case scenario, advances in AI could help find a way to attack the mathematics underpinning Bitcoin and Ethereum signatures before truly dangerous quantum computers emerge.
