Bitget announced directly on X today that it was abruptly cutting off services to some users—but didn’t say who, how many, or why. It only said that funds were safe and the platform was operating as usual, and warned people not to trust phishing links.

On September 24, a zero-day vulnerability in a third-party security product had already led to 388 million being taken. The wound has barely had time to heal, and they’re already clearing people out. The script feels all too familiar: when money goes missing, plug the hole by showing the door to anyone who might be “trouble.”

Pick a side in the comments: A) The exchange is right to clean house—deal with it; B) They’re kicking some users out today, so who’s next tomorrow?
