But this golden cross is below the zero line, so technically it only counts as a rebound signal—like my health checkup report going from “terrible” to “pretty bad”: the improvement is real, but so is the fact that I’m still nowhere near “good.”

I usually use isolated margin, so if one position runs into trouble, it won’t affect the others. Whether open interest is increasing or decreasing, you have to look at it together with the price.
