According to a report by CriptoNoticias, the Peruvian fintech company Linka, backed by Tether, says it has processed the country’s first import transaction with complete trade documentation, using stablecoins to complete international payments. The transaction uses USDT and USDC as cross-border value transfer infrastructure. After verifying the customer’s identity and the commercial invoice, Linka completes the conversion between fiat and stablecoins and the international settlement. Traditional customs clearance, trade documentation, and tax obligations remain unchanged.
