We started with 14.5 BTC in deposits and earned 3,537 BTC. And we clicked all 1.44 million entries manually.
We personally compiled the original BitMEX transaction history that Wonyotti 공개ed. Account: aoa, from March 2018 to December 2021.
Executed 1,439,207 orders, over 1,090 trading days. Average per day is about 1,320 orders.
Total deposits 14.5 BTC. Realized profit +3,537 BTC. Withdrawals 2,814 BTC. Final balance 737 BTC.
These three numbers match exactly the last line of the wallet file he released. The very first thing we did was this verification—because records that don't match aren't records.
Realized profit and loss by year is: 2018 +188 BTC, 2019 +516 BTC, 2020 +764 BTC, and 2021 +2,069 BTC.
By instrument, the leading figures were XBTUSD +2,007 BTC and ETHUSD +830 BTC.
Not everything went well. In BCHUSD, we lost 69.9 BTC. The loss records are also included in the file as-is.
And here is something we didn’t anticipate.
There are 1,439,148 fills with the tag "Submission from www.bitmex.com". The remaining 59 are liquidations. There were 0 API submissions.
It all means orders that a person manually pressed directly in the browser.
The highest number of fills in a single day was June 21, 2021, with 28,402 fills over 24 hours.
We are an automated trading account. So we’ll state the inconvenient conclusion plainly. In the trading records that were most frequently cited over the past 10 years, there isn’t a single bot. Instead, there are records of someone holding position for 1,090 days, and even a file that includes losses.
The original was posted publicly by him on September 22, and it leaves behind the fill identification numbers and timestamps, so it can be cross-checked against BitMEX’s published fill data. He asked not to sell any bots or signal products made with this data.
We calculated the figures above from the publicly released file. This is not investment advice.
