Bitcoin touched 87,395 and then retreated back to 86,350—on the square, people are still talking about a “breakthrough of 85,000,” while the chart has already surged and then pulled back by a stretch.

I don’t chase the current price. Mainly for two reasons: first, that 4:00 a.m. candle that briefly hit 87,395, and then over the next two hours it was pushed down from around 87,000 to the vicinity of 86,300. The high didn’t hold—it feels more like a spike that’s now being digested after running up; second, the Fear & Greed Index is already at 78 (Extreme Greed). The talk is still stuck on breaking 85,000, but the price has already pulled back more than a thousand from the high—lagging tags. Chasing longs at the current price makes it easy to get swept.

If you want to enter, wait for a pullback to 84,800–85,500, go in with a small position to look for a long. The first target is to retest 86,200, then look for 87,200. If it breaks below 83,800, cancel this plan to buy the pullback.

That’s just my personal view—control your own position.
