According to PANews, starting from June 12, Telegram is set to introduce a new internal currency called Telegram Stars. Users will be able to purchase this currency through Apple and Google and use it to pay for digital goods and services within Telegram bots and mini-programs.
Several developers have reportedly received notifications about the launch of this token. Telegram's marketing channel has also drawn attention to this development. It has been reported that Apple has issued a warning to Telegram for violating App Store review guidelines 4.7 and 3.1.1, which pertain to accepting customer payments and services without using Apple's internal purchasing mechanism.
Users will be able to purchase Stars through shopping tools in the App Store and Google Play, and a service commission of 30% may be charged. Developers will be able to withdraw the token in the form of TON.
