According to Odaily, Fluent, a Layer2 network, has announced the launch of a new design called the Blended Execution mechanism. This innovative design integrates multiple virtual machines within a single state machine, aiming to facilitate direct interaction between different virtual machine applications without the need for complex cross-chain bridging. Developers can utilize these tools within each virtual machine ecosystem.

More formally, Blended Execution is defined as an execution environment that supports real-time composability between applications from multiple virtual machines. Fluent will support Wasm, EVM, and SVM in a unified execution environment. Applications written in various programming languages such as Solidity, TypeScript, and Rust will be able to run on Fluent. In the future, additional virtual machines can also be added.
