According to Odaily, last Friday, compliant digital asset platform Prometheum launched an Ethereum custody service. Notably, Prometheum operates by classifying the token as a security and accepting oversight from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The launch of this custody service seems to validate the stance of SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, who has countered broader crypto industry views, believing that the existing regulatory system is sufficient and effective, eliminating many debates about inoperability under current law.
