One scammer stole nearly $385,000 in Ether (ETH) in less than 24 hours using SIM swapping attacks on users of the Friend.Tech platform. There have been several similar attacks over the past week, and in total about 109 ETH were stolen. In response, Friend.Tech offered a new security feature that allows users to remove certain login methods, including phone numbers. Experts recommend adding two-factor authentication to better protect your accounts.
