📊 An academic alliance that goes to the heart of the problem
In the Venezuelan market, no one is arguing anymore about whether they need to digitalize. The real discussion is different: why does so much technological effort end up going nowhere. EY Venezuela, IESA, UCAB, and UNIMET sat down at the same table to tackle that bottleneck and presented DITech, an executive program designed to train profiles that the four institutions refer to as Chief Disruptive Officers.
The diagnosis behind the initiative is uncomfortable: around 89% of digital transformation and artificial intelligence initiatives get stuck in the pilot phase, choked by scalability and governance issues. And if you look at the financial impact, the outlook is worse: a study by MIT cited during the presentation states that 95% of these projects never manage to affect the income statement or redesign the business model.
