Bitcoin was trading at $126 thousand in 2025 and suffered a dramatic drop of 50% of its value this year 2026, all in the month of June. It’s possible that many factors have led to its decline, one of them being geopolitical problems, the decrease in liquidity, among other factors.
We see a slight rise in this currency that struck fear into major investors, who began withdrawing their capital with nervousness. Not only did Bitcoin fall, but many popular altcoins too—some more than others, down 40% to 70%.
In June of this year, in the first days it was trading at $71,000 to $73,500 USD; then by mid-month we had it between $61,000 and $65,000, and by the end of the month $58,000 to $59,800 USD. This was due to the ETFs that came out quickly and on the spot, leaving Bitcoin in a decline.
There has been an increase in Bitcoin and some stability. It doesn’t have the value it had in 2025, but slowly it’s picking itself up.
