The Constitutional Chamber declared its jurisdiction to hear the nullity action on grounds of unconstitutionality brought by citizen Daniel de Jesús Carrillo Sequera, acting in his own name, as well as the nullity action for unconstitutionality brought jointly with a precautionary measure to suspend the effects filed by citizens Andrés Ramón Guissepe Ávalo, Gustavo Adolfo Márquez Marín, Carlos Ramón Mendoza Potella, José Luis Ybrahim Esté, Oscar Ramón Figuera González, Eduardo Antonio Ojeda Falcón, and others, against the amendment to the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons, published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 6.978 (Extraordinary) on January 29, 2026.

It also clarified that it joins the nullity actions on grounds of unconstitutionality contained in case files nos. 26-0144 and 26-0697, pursuant to the provisions of Article 51 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in light of Articles 98 and 166 of the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice.
