How to Verify My Residential Address on Binance

In order to verify your Binance account and comply with your regions/countries’ regulations, we may ask for additional information from you, including proof of residential address.
How do I verify my residential address?
You need to upload a copy of the document showing your full name or business which clearly indicates: residential address, date of issuance, and name of the issuer, it needs to be dated within three months before the date of submission.
Valid documents include, but are not limited to:
- Utility bill for services, such as electricity, water, sewerage
- Municipal rates & taxes statement
- Bank statement (needs to show at least 1 transaction)
- Bank reference letter (stamped and/or signed)
- Mortgage statement
- Body corporate disclosure statement
- Building management statements
- Landline telephone bill (mobile bills are not acceptable)
- Internet and TV service bill or packages bill
- Tenancy/rental contracts issued by the government or a legitimate property company
- Certificate of registration from the local government
- Certificate of residence from the local government
Note: Documents from these Fintech companies are acceptable as POA:

NOT Acceptable POA:
- Statement of credit cards issued by retail stores
- Bank reference/confirmation letter without the issuer’s stamp/signature
- Utility reference letter from the utility/service provider
- Utility contract confirmation
- Payslips/labour contract
- Transaction receipts (even if delivery/billing address is provided)
- Bank correspondence letters/marketing material
- Mortgage/loan correspondence letters/marketing material
- Bill statement where product/services subscribed is not specified
- Insurance document
- Bills from streaming services
- Mobile phone bills
- Documents issued to a P.O. Box

FOR IRELAND ONLY:
- Official documentation/cards issued by the Tax authorities (e.g., tax documents issued by the government)
- Official documentation/cards issued by the Government (e.g., residence permit)
- Mobile phone bill statement
- Household/motor insurance certificate and renewal notices;
- Driver’s Licence (where the licence has not also been used for purposes of identification)
Note:
- Any identification document (ID card/residence card) used by the retail customer for POA verification has to be valid (i.e., not expired). These documents do not need to be issued within the last 3 months.
- Bills for telecommunications packages are acceptable, such as the package for mobile phones, internet, and TV. However, mobile phone bills are not acceptable on their own.
- If you are using a bank statement, please provide one that shows at least 2-3 transaction records on the account. Please note that empty bank statements with no transaction records are not accepted.
- The name on the document must be the same as the ID submitted;
- The address on the document must be the same as the residential address entered;
- Documents must be issued within 3 months;
- The name, address, issue date, and issuer must be clearly visible.
How to upload my documents?
When uploading a document, please note:
- Your document scan should be complete and shows all four corners. We do not accept incomplete document scans.
- Keep the document unaltered, except when masking bank account or card numbers, sensitive data can be covered.
- Capture the document vertically (in portrait mode) to ensure the full document is captured. Do not capture it in landscape mode.
- You may submit a photo/scan of a hard copy bill, or a PDF file of a paperless bill.

1. Is a bill for a telecommunications package (e.g. Mobile + Internet + TV) acceptable?
Yes, bills for telecommunications packages are acceptable, such as the package for mobile phones, internet, and TV. However, mobile phone bills are not acceptable on their own.
2. When do I need to submit the Proof of Address verification?
Please complete the verification process before submitting your Proof of Address.
3. What is an invalid or incomplete address?
Please make sure you enter a complete residential address that includes the flat/house number, street, and zip code.
4. What kind of Proof of Address documents are unacceptable?
We do not accept identification documents stating the Proof of Address, unclear copies, utility contract confirmation, or Proof of Address issued more than 3 months ago.
5. How do I modify the Proof of Address?
If your address verification details have changed, you can modify them from [Modify Proof of Address]. You will receive an email notification once the modification is complete, please wait patiently.
