Where can I get my account verified?
You can access the Identity Verification from [User Center] - [Identification] or directly access it here.
Please see the tabs above for a breakdown of how to input your specific identification document.
In addition, you can check your current verification level on the page, which determines the trading limit of your Binance Australia account. To increase your limit, please complete the respective Identity Verification level.
What is KYC (Know Your Customer)?
If you’ve ever opened an account with a cryptocurrency exchange, you have likely had to complete a KYC check. KYC requires financial service providers to identify and verify their customers. This could be through official identification, such as a government-issued ID or visa.
These checks are done as part of the financial institutions' (in this case, Binance Australia) Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance efforts. These checks improve trust in the industry and help financial service providers to manage their risks. KYC has become mandatory for cryptocurrency exchanges in Australia.
Drivers Licence
1. Select [Australian Driver Licence], enter your Licence Number and Card Number (Please see the visual guide to find your state's variation) and click [Continue].
2. Continue entering your First, Middle and Last Name and Date of Birth as it appears on your Drivers Licence and click [Continue].
3. Enter your Residential Address Information and click [Continue].
4. Click [Driver’s Licence] and then click [Continue].
5. Click [Take Photo], upload both the front and back sides of your Drivers Licence, and click [Continue].
6. Click [Take a Selfie] and click [Continue].
7. After uploading your selfie you will need to perform a facial recognition test. Click [Continue] and follow the on-screen instructions.
8. Your KYC verification will now be under review. We will email you once verification is complete.
Australian Passport
1. Select [Australian Passport], enter your Passport Number, and click [Continue].
2. Continue entering your First, Middle and Last Name and Date of Birth as it appears on your Passport and click [Continue].
3. Enter your Residential Address Information and click [Continue].
4. Click [Passport] and click [Continue].
5. Click [Take Photo], upload the page with your document information and photo, and click [Continue].
6. Click [Take a Selfie] and click [Continue].
7. After uploading your selfie you will need to perform a facial recognition test. Click [Continue] and follow the on-screen instructions.
8. Your KYC verification will now be under review. We will email you once verification is complete.
Foreign Passport
1. Enter your Passport Number (please note this must be the same as the passport number on your VISA document) and County/Region of Issue and click [Continue].
2. Enter your Personal Information exactly as it appears on your Visa and click [Continue].
3. Enter your Residential Address and click [Continue].
4. Click [Take a Selfie] and click [Continue].
5. After uploading your selfie you will need to perform a facial recognition test. Click [Continue] and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Your KYC verification will now be under review. We will email you once verification is complete.
