FOMC WATCHING The Market Moves Before the Fed Speaks I have noticed one thing around every major FOMC meeting: markets often react to expectations before the actual decision arrives. Traders are not only watching what the Federal Reserve does, they are watching what it might do next. Interest rates remain one of the biggest forces affecting global markets. Higher rates can reduce liquidity and pressure risk assets, while expectations of rate cuts can bring renewed optimism across stocks, crypto, and other markets. But predicting the Fed is never simple. A rate cut does not always mean a bullish market. Sometimes cuts happen because inflation is improving, while other times they come because economic conditions are getting weaker. This is why FOMC watching is more about understanding the bigger picture than chasing headlines. Inflation data, employment numbers, economic growth, and Fed comment all play a role in shaping market direction. For crypto investors, liquidity remains a key factor. Bitcoin and other digital assets often respond to changes in financial conditions. My view is that traders should focus less on the announcement itself and more on the message behind it. A bullish signal would be controlled inflation with stable growth. A bearish shift would come from rising inflation or a more aggressive Fed stance. The Fed’s words matter, but the market’s reaction matters even more. #FOMCWatching $ON
