The Bank of Russia has published requirements for organizations that will be tasked with storing cryptocurrencies in Russia under new regulation:
- Minimum capital — 50 million rubles. - Minimum capital when working with foreign systems — 100 million rubles. - Capital of 250 million rubles or more for settlement depositories. - Cryptocurrency is prohibited from being recognized in own capital. - Depositories must keep full records of transactions and check clients for suspicious transactions.
