My phone wouldn’t stop vibrating. 😭 I checked what was happening and saw $369.67M in crypto derivatives had been liquidated, with $301.84M coming from longs. $BTC saw $111.83M liquidated, while $ETH saw $95.39M. At the same time, oil moved above $90, 10Y yields approached 4.8%, and risk-off sentiment picked up. Then leverage started unwinding fast: Price drops → stops hit → liquidations → more selling. AI demand is starting to show up far beyond the chipmakers, and $DELL latest numbers are a good example. $DELL reported $47B in revenue and $7.04 EPS, beating estimates by 43%. But the bigger headline is its $95B AI backlog, up 85% QoQ. AI server revenue reached $16.4B, while traditional server demand also doubled. The backlog is booked through next year, pointing to continued demand for AI infrastructure. But tight chips and memory could affect how quickly $DELL converts those orders into actual revenue. $BTC drops below $77K as US-Iran tensions escalate. Fresh US strikes on Iranian targets have pushed BTC around $76.7K, while $ETH slipped below $2.4K. The bigger signal for me is the leverage flush roughly $60M in crypto longs were liquidated within an hour. Brent crude is also pushing toward $95, so this is bigger than just a crypto dip. Rising oil + geopolitical risk could keep pressure on risk assets.
