A couple of days ago, I stumbled upon a project called OpenLedger while scrolling through Binance Square, and honestly, I paused for a bit because the concept is fresh to me.
We're used to having all our data with Google, Facebook, and the big AI firms, and they're the ones cashing in while we don't see a dime.
But OpenLedger is doing the complete opposite. The idea is to put the control back in your hands, meaning you can choose to share your data if you want and get paid for it, and if not, it's totally optional.
The whole system is open-source and decentralized, so anyone with some know-how can jump in and contribute, whether you're a dev, a researcher, or just someone with data.
What I really liked is that all contributions are recorded on the blockchain, meaning it's transparent and no one can tamper with or alter it later.
This makes things a bit fairer and reduces blind trust in corporations.
I don't know if this idea will succeed 100% or not, but I feel like it's the right direction. Instead of AI being confined to just 3 companies in the world, it should be accessible to everyone and serve the whole community.
