I’m not here to spread free FUD or sell the opposite story. I’ve been looking at this space for a while, and there are things that genuinely pique my curiosity, and others that directly worry me. I put them on the table because I believe a healthy community is built by talking about these things, not avoiding them.
1. Extreme volatility isn’t "just part of the game"
It is often normalized that an asset loses 30-40% of its value over weeks as if it were the natural cost of being "early" in something disruptive. But volatility of that magnitude has real consequences:
