Changes to Binance Australia Account Verification

2021-10-08

As part of our compliance efforts to provide users with a safe crypto environment to access our products and services, Binance Australia will update its security requirements to enhance user protection and align with global compliance standards.

Effective immediately, Binance Australia is making the following changes to account verification requirements:

  • All new users are now required to complete Verification to access Binance Australia products and service offerings, including cryptocurrency deposits, spot trading and withdrawals.

  • Existing users who have not yet completed Verification will temporarily change their account permissions to “Withdraw Only”, with services limited to withdrawal and order cancellation. This will be carried out in phases to minimise user-experience disruption from now through 2021-10-19 22:00 (AEST). Existing users will be informed directly with more details. Once users complete Verification, they will be able to resume full access to our products and services.

We strongly encourage users to complete the required Verification steps to avoid restrictions on their access.

Binance Australia is announcing these measures to help support its Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) efforts. This will further enhance user protection and combat financial crime.
