In celebration of International Women’s Week, the Binance Australia team is hosting a meetup and panel discussion in Brisbane on Friday 12 March, 5:30 PM AEST, ‘Opportunities for Women in Bitcoin and Crypto’.

Founder of Crypto Queens: Imeleta Lia-Norris
Imeleta Lia-Norris is a mother of 4 children and a grandmother of 2. Her parents were migrants from a little Pacific Island called Samoa and she had a humble upbringing in the South Auckland suburb of Otara, New Zealand. Imeleta and her husband decided to move to Australia in 1997 with their first child.
After 10 years in the community sector, she made a natural move toward working with marginalised young people. Currently, Imeleta is a youth worker by night, and crypto trader by day - with the event coordination as her forte, being part of a group that runs the biggest Polynesian festival in Australia, the Pasifika Vibes Festival, in Brisbane. She is also an avid musician and loves to teach adults and kids how to play the Ukulele.
In 2020, she started introducing women to the world of Cryptocurrency by helping them set up their own digital wallets, after being introduced to it by a friend in 2017. She shows them how to buy and hold crypto and grow their portfolios, enabling them to be economically empowered. Now she is also trading Cryptocurrency, focusing mainly on Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Crypto Advisor & Creator of She’s Blockchain Savvy: Danielle Marie
Danielle Marie is a blockchain education consultant, Crypto Coach and creator of She’s Blockchain Savvy. Danielle has been involved in cryptocurrency since 2017 and is on a mission to Elevate, Empower and Educate savvy ladies to be involved in the emerging and disruptive world of cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Binance Australia is proud to host this meetup to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, political achievements and empowerment of women in our daily lives and around the world.
The panel will discuss crypto and blockchain use cases that showcase potential for driving women’s economic empowerment worldwide – by enabling women to access financial services, manage payments and keep business and personal records.
They will also provide participants with an overview of what blockchain is and how it can be applied within the daily lives of women in Australia and other parts of the world.
